新世纪里，在农业现代化的北国江南白洋淀，却有一群以盼虎为首的痴迷老梆子戏的娃娃小姑娘，因为年龄小，家长望子成龙或是家境贫穷，所以难圆考取戏曲学校之梦。他们几经周折，费尽苦心，甚至有的离家出走才被县剧团收为学员。后因剧团演出被外地新潮野班子剧团冲击，所以剧团只得改为综合艺术团，而难舍梆子戏的孩子们也被解散。。一个普通老人的一天，早起、买菜、静坐、回家、做饭，很平常的一天，唯一不同的就是家里只有老人一个人和一条狗，其余的家人都不在了，就这么一天天的重复着这种简单的规律，冰箱堆满了每天做了的菜。。Back Stage is a 1919 comedy, one of the last films that Buster Keaton would appear with Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle before they went their separate ways, Keaton would get his own studio, and Arbuckle got into feature length films.
