电影《二战美食家》讲述了二战期间，在日军的高压下的海口，著名琼菜饭店老板在日军的高压下，不得已将自己经营多年的琼菜饭店改行为日本料理店，但在民众的呼声、民族的大义面前，饭店老板仍然在饭店的地下室里经营着自己的地下餐厅，做着自己最拿手的文昌鸡饭。出身于料理世家的日本军队军官青藤也对文昌鸡饭产生兴趣，两位观点、立场背景截然不同的人发生命运交织，在青藤的掩护下，失去儿子的地下餐厅老板文毓坤才得以保住传统的美食，保住了一批爱国青年的性命。 影片最后，日本投降，青藤作为战俘被送走，文毓坤也只能目送这位老朋友。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
