影片根据真人真事改编，讲述主人公格蕾丝和查理夫妇，在美国内华达州开设了第一家合法妓院：爱情牧场。格蕾丝有着精明的头脑，查理则肌肉强健、精力旺盛，配合默契的两人将妓院生意经营得很红火。然而，随着一名从南美的世界级拳击手来到“牧场”，事情开始急转直下。在年轻拳击手的诱惑下，格蕾丝难以自持、与之陷入久违的激情之中，而她与查理的婚姻以及妓院的生意也因这段三角恋而陷入危险境地……。White Lies is described as an “urgent exploration of race and privilege, inequality and identity.” Set in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bishopscourt, Cape Town, the series is described as following investigative journalist Edie Hansen (Dormer) as she gets caught up in the ugly underbelly that lies beneath the picturesque beauty of the city, dragging her back to a turbulent past....。
